Mike Pelton, Auburn's newest Defensive Line Coach, will be the featured speaker at the Autauga County Auburn Club's spring meeting on Thursday, April 21, 2011. The meeting will be held at The Legends in Prattville at 6 p.m.
Pelton, a former All-SEC athlete at Auburn, worked at Iowa State under
Coach Gene Chizik in 2007 and 2008. Prior to Iowa State, he spent six
years on the staff at Troy University, serving as co-defensive
coordinator during his last two years. Pelton also coached the
defensive line at Valdosta State University in Georgia.
As an Auburn player, Pelton was an outstanding defensive tackle and
earned first-team All-SEC recognition in 1994. In 1993-94, he helped
the Tigers win a school-record 20 consecutive games.
Bring the whole family for a great War Eagle evening and the
opportunity to meet Auburn's NEWEST coach. Coach Pelton is speaking at
only TWO club meetings this year and the Autauga County Auburn Club is lucky enough to be one
of his stops!
The meeting fees are $20 (individual), $30 (couple) and $10 (kids 12 and
under). Your fee includes tailgate-style food and a donation to the
Autauga County Auburn Club. We'll have door prizes and (hopefully) a
visit by Aubie, too!
